TURIN MODERN ART GALLERY, from April 19TH to August 25TH 2019
Turin's GAM presents an exhibit that intends to propose the neometaphysical works of De Chirico in relation to those of artists linked to the context of Italian and international Pop Art, such as ANDY WARHOL, FRANCO ANGELI, UGO NESPOLO, MIMMO ROTELLA, MARIO SCHIFANO, MIMMO PALADINO, up to more recent results from VANESSA BEECROFT or FRANCESCO VEZZOLI.
In addition to the loan of the neometaphysical works of the DE CHIRICO FOUNDATION, the exhibit will present works by contemporary artists from the GAM collections, as well as making use of important loans from museums, foundations and private Italian and international collections.
A small section of the exhibit, like a precious insert, will be reserved for THE THEME OF CITATION AND COPYING, de Chirico's favorite exercise and will present an ORIGINAL DRAWING OF MICHELANGELO from Casa Buonarroti, with drawings by de Chirico dedicated to the study of Michelangelo's frescoes of the Vault of the Sistine Chapel.
